That’s one way to go about it.

You can also do bodyweight exercises at home, work-out in your underwear (or without it), and pretty much design any kind of workout you want, depending on where you are and how you feel. In fact, I do that all the time, and once you learn the fundamentals you’ll be able to as well.

Cross-Fit and high-intensity cardio are by no means required. There are plenty of models, bodybuilders, and generally-badass-looking-folks who don’t do any of that stuff.

Remember, it’s not the exercise you do, it’s the principles you follow. Apply the right principles and you can design your own workouts.
